Tech Facilitated Abuse

This slide pack introduces the key concepts in Tech Facilitated Abuse and explores how young people are experiencing TFA, based on surveys conducted with young people in Bristol and South Gloucestershire in 2024/25. We are sharing the slides from our in person training programme which was funded by the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Avon and Somerset.

Aimed at raising awareness of TFA in those working with young people, in 50 slides it covers:

  • Understanding TFA, The Internet of Things and Digital Footprint
  • Understand the impact of TFA on victims/survivors
  • TFA and the law
  • Online safety and password hygiene
  • How to support and signpost young people experiencing TFA
  • Guidance on reporting TFA to the police

I was scared they would turn up at my house or where I work. I didn’t know what to do"
